We stop the press to announce the
arrival at Savannah of the Spencer,
and by an intelligent passenger with
whom we have conversed, we learn
the following particulars-That the
Spencer sailed 5 days after the James
Monroe, and brings news of the
most decisive character in favor of
Bonaparte, and in substance, states
facts fully corroborative of the above
letter. The mail was detained two
hours in order to learn the news by
the Spencer, which was in Five
Fathom Hole. A gentleman who went
down to her returned and brought the
highly gratifying intelligence that
Bonaparte was everywhere successful.
The emperor of Russia, king of
Prussia, and twenty five thousand
men prisoners.
