LONDON, June 20.—The Standard's correspondent at Alexandria telegraphs that it is reported there that the French Consul-General possesses the Sultan's firman for deposing the Khedive in case he refuses the European demands.
Telegrams from Cairo report that the English and French Consuls-General had an interview with the Khedive yesterday and demanded his abdication in favor of his son, Prince Mohammed Tewfik. The Khedive replied that when his creditors were paid he would abdicate.
The Times' dispatch from Paris corroborates the Standard's report from Alexandria that the French Consul-General in Egypt holds the Sultan's firman for the deposition of the Khedive.
