BEAUTIFUL THOUGHT And ELEGANT EXPRESSION. - The Carson correspondent of the Reveille says he has a "beautiful thought," and he thus elegantly expresses it :
"There is a county in this State known as Roop's; but unfortunately, it does not contain many inhabitants. Now, wouldn't it be a good idea for these ducks, who want a county and county offices so badly, to go up there and relocate the county? and there wouldn't then be so much skirmishing as to who should have the offices, and they could quit their damned foolishness trying to break up the second most prosperous county in the State into infinitesimal particles, one of which would surely be bankrupt in half a year. He evidently knows which one it would be, himself; so there is no need for us to name it. And further on, he is burdened with more "beautiful thoughts," and gives the benefit (?) of them, as follows:
No wrangling, no removal of foolishness. and with the aid of united Lander county bonds, build the Mountain road to, or within reasonable distance of Austin, making it a sort of county-seat, and stand in with Austin about a road from county to the station, and Eureka the terminus with the privilege of running it much further to Colorado or as far to hell if they like."
The people of Eureka have long since come to the conclusion that what the Central Pacific Railroad thought profitable to do--namely, to make a detour from a direct line for the sake of accommodation to Austin--should not be done by themselves, especially as there is no slightest necessity for a railroad to the village of [something], thought it will not be a means of communication with Austin, after our county is organized. Reveille's elegant correspondent may as well cease his vaticinations on that subject, "once and forever," as the Austin paper remarked when it said the Austinites wished to "get rid of Eureka."
