Top disc jockey Merle Blair from Topeka brought along to the Haskell campus a bandwagon of record hits and had all Haskell stomping and rocking for two and one-half hours Friday, April 3. Hit recordings and hit recording artists could be heard bellowing or crooning tunes to Haskell's eager dancers and listeners.
To top it off, Mr. Blair and Co. will be back at H.I., April 17, as a result of a unanimous vote by the Student Council. If Mr. Blair isn't busy at any other scheduled appearance that night we can expect a fine time with his company, his records, and more of that "cat jive" he sports.
Also many of those who participated in that "go-around" last Friday think a record hop at Haskell is one of the finest recreational activities to be had. This is because of the new style, the records, and that it's just altogether different from the usual "hops" Haskell holds.
