Another attempt is being made to secure a postmaster for Earlham college who will come under the civil service rules.

The post office department has notified the Richmond office that an examination will be held for an Earlham postmaster to fill a fourth-class office, February.

The same announcement was made last year, but there were no applicants.

Finley Newlin now holds the place. He was appointed before fourth-class offices went under civil service. He is not eligible to take the examination for appointment because of the age limit in civil service rules.
