In Miami There's No Night

In Miami there's no night;
The gloaming moon takes the show
As close of day takes flight
In a shower of rosied glow:
The pearly lakes around
Slumb'ring in beauty's bliss
Bring up from the bubbling sound
Lost lovers seeking a kiss.

In Miami there's no night,
The gayety of the frolicing crowd
Reaches forth in boundless bright
Where the sand beach lures the proud
That swings 'neath the cocoanut palms
Dancing in thanks to God
For the calm tropic's sheltering arms
And the glory of Miami's sod.

In Miami there's no night
Of sorrowing for the troubled mind;
Who enter from a worn world's blight
Leave all their worries behind,
For here is the peace of the saints-
The region of flowered throngs,
Where the finger of the angels paints
And the ocean sings the songs.
