Pvt. Baltasar Garaygordobil, 23-year-old son of Mrs. Inez Garaygordobil, 309 Sonoita street, received a letter last weekend from her son dated June 27th stating he suffered a wounded back, leg, and left hand during the invasion of France and it was necessary to amputate the hand just above the wrist.

He is now in a hospital in England and will be brought shortly to the states and back home. He has been awarded the Purple Heart.

He was last home on March 4th just before leaving for overseas. He is a former employee of The Wells Fargo Company.
