HONORS WOODSTOCK GIRL
Miss Katherine Hottel, the talented daughter of M. H. Hottel of Woodstock was elected a member of the Republican State Committee at the Luray Congressional district convention held yesterday. The same convention elected Hon. B. B. Bowman, of Edinburg, and Miss Elizabeth Kern, of Winchester delegates to the National Convention to be held in Cleveland, Ohio.
Yesterday's convention was largely attended by Shenandoah County Republicans and Col. R. N. Hoag. of Strasburg, was made chairman of the meeting. Resolutions eulogistic of the administration of President Calvin Coolidge and of the principles for which he stands were passed. "Ripley S. The convention adjourned subject to the call of the Chairman and it will re-convene for the purpose of nominating a candidate for Congress against Judge T W. Harrison.
It is understood that the Delegates-at-Large from Virginia to the Cleveland Convention will be Hon. John Paul, Col. H. W. Anderson, Bascom Slemp and Joseph L. Crupper.
