Pick Officers, Plan Aggressive Campaign
Organization of the 9th Ohio Congressional district by the Political Action Committee-CIO was completed by delegates from Lucas and Ottawa Co. PAC groups in a meeting held at Local 12 headquarters, Feb. 17.
Plans for a vigorous congressional campaign were made by the 22 delegates who set up the district PAC.
Eleven delegates from each county will make up an executive board. A group of six officers were elected to serve for one year. Following were named:
Clayton Rusch, Toledo, chairman; Thomas Kenny, Port Clinton, vice-chairman; Leroy Neff, Port Clinton, vice-chairman; Frank Kowalski, Toledo, treasurer; Ted Wierzaba, Port Clinton, recording secretary. Richard Gosser, UAW-CIO regional director was named manager and Orville Beemer, district director.
Other Lucas Co. PAC representatives on the congressional board are Barton Dederman, William Healey, Rubin Harper, Kenneth O'Brien, Frank Molik, Charles Johnson, Don Blair, Ollie Pecord and Anthony Eckert.
