Union Will Meet

Washington, Oct. 4 (AP) The Pan-American Union said today its governing board will meet Friday to act on the U.S. proposal to postpone the union's meeting to the American conference in Brazil.

The union acted after Under Secretary Acheson formally asked it to allay anxieties on the plans arising from the current armistice. The conference scheduled to open October 15.

Dr. William Mange, counselor of the conference, said the highest meeting would be held at 10 a.m. EST, tomorrow.

It will be called by Dr. Carlos Martinez Borja, ambassador to the United States, acting board chairman.
