GOODBYE!

Too many people are saying goodbye these days to money obtained from them by swindlers, imposters and downright thieves.

Perhaps if we take stock of the situation the future of such people may be completely blotted out.

A service offered to the general public by the Tabor City Merchants Association should be used more frequently by citizens and merchants. That service is the investigation and positive identification of people soliciting or selling in the town of Tabor City.

The Merchants Association, upon request, investigates all people thus engaged, and if their business or situation is true and legal, a card is issued them certifying the legality of their mission. No one should even talk to a person soliciting funds or on a house-to-house selling tour until that person presents this solicitation card.

It's a free service to the public, offered by the merchants to prevent the occurrence of swindles in Tabor City, and to aid those engaged in a legitimate undertaking.
