The St. Cecilia
Vesper
Hour
will be observed at 5:00 P.
M. today promises to be one of the
programs of the year in that
it presents as its speaker the
analyst Dr. William
M. Boyd, professor of Political
Science at Atlanta University.
Broadcast of the news and
is very
to be followed by a large audience.
Dr. Boyd has come to be
regarded as a very keen, observer
and a very profound thinker on the
world's these confront the world
today.
He received his collegiate training
at Talladega College, and his
graduate work at the University of
Michigan. Later he received
his Doctor
of Philosophy degree from
the institution in the field of
Social Science. In
1947 after
receiving many other honors he was awarded the
Guggenheim Grant to study the social
economic conditions in England,
France
Holland, Denmark,
other and Poland. He has had a
most interesting
teaching
career
having been an instructor at the
Atlanta high school assistant in
the
political science department of
University of Michigan, professor.

Valley State College. Currently
he is professor of political
science of Atlanta University and
in summer) of the International
Institute
of American Friends Service
Committee.
Coming at a time when the political horizon in the state of Georgia is clouded, and when the
