Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Games. They were
accompanied home by their daughter
Miss Dorothy who has visited here
for the past two weeks.

Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Henderson entertained a number of their friends
with an informal dance Wednesday
evening at their attractive home on
East Eighth street.

Miss Marguerette Rice of Portsmouth visited several days this week
with Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Bell

Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Blackburn and
daughters, Martha, Helen and Anna-
bell and Mrs. Charles Tucker and
baby son, William, were guests over
the week-end of Mr. and Mrs. W. H
Blackburn at Columbus.

Mrs. C. N. Reeves. Mrs. Mack Pence
and Miss Lydia Kress left Saturday
for Sterling. Nebraska where they
were called by the death of their
brother-in-law. Nelse Francis.

Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Proctor and
children Dorothy Eileen and Edward
Eugene of Charleston. W. Va., were
week-end guests of Misses Ida and
Nora White and Mr. and Mrs. E. S.
White. The Misses White accom-
panied them home for a weeks visit.

Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Murray and
children Julia and Charles, Jr., and
Miss Mary K. Collings were visitors
at Lexington, Ky., Saturday. where
Mr. Murray attended the races and
Mrs. Murray and children and Miss
Collings visited with Mr. and Mrs.
Tom Roach at Midway, Ky.

Miss Mary Thompson and Charles
Wilson spent the week-end with the
latter's sister, Mrs. Ione Ellison at
Cincinnati.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Sauer and sons,
Bobby and Edward of Cincinnati vis-
ited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. L. K.
Carroll.

Misses Catherine Roush and Jeanne
Bowman were visitors at Maysville,
Ky. Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Cooper and
daughter. Miss Dorothy left Wednes-
day for Toledo, where they expect to
make their future home.

Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Reeves and
children, Virginia and Kenneth, mo-
tored to Cincinnati Saturday. Mrs.
Reeves and children will remain for
a several weeks visit with relatives.

Mrs. J. B. Keoppel was brought to
her home here Saturday in the Wil-
son Ambulance. She has been at the
Jewish hospital, Cincinnati, for sever-
al weeks following an operation.

The members of the Clover Leaf
Club motored to Mt. Sterling, O.,
Thursday where they spent' the day
with Mrs. R. W. E. Irwin, who is a
former member.

Misses Alma and Violet McCreary,
Helen Hook, Jeanne Bowman, Cather-
ine Roush, Marcella Cooper. and Mrs.
Effie O'Neil attended the Alumni
Dance at Ripley, Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Carson and
daughter, Dorothy and Mrs. Nannie
Flemming were Sunday visitors at
Ripley.

Mrs. Lewis Grooms and son, Wil-
liam of Cincinnati, spent several days
here at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Yates.

Mrs. Glenn Works of Vanceburg,
Ky., visited several days during the
week-end with her parents. Mr. and
Mrs. W. G. Greene.

Miss Nellie Grierson of Aberdeen
visited during the week with Miss
Daisy McGowan.

Allen Stiles of New Richmond
visited during the week with his par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Stiles.

Dr. and Mrs. A. R. Carrigan were
visitors at Portsmouth Thursday
where they attended a Medical Con-
vention.

Mrs. J. B. Ridout and Mrs. Ellen
Ridout of Stout visited Thursday
with Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Francis.

Mr. and Mrs. F. K. Roush and
daughter, Garnett were Sunday
guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
John Buchanon of Georgetown.

Dr. and Mrs. G. E. Neal left Sun-
day for an extensive motor trip
through Michigan

Mrs. R. L. Lawill and sons, Harold
and Bobbie, of Seaman have return-
ed to their home after a visit with
relatives here and in the country.

Mrs. Fronia Moore left Tuesday
morning for Huntington, W. Va.,
where she was called by the serious
illness of her brother, Samuel Rader

Mrs. Imogene Edwards is visiting
this week with relatives and friends
at Cincinnati.

H. Seud Owens left Monday for
Magnetic Springs for a two weeks
sojourn

Mrs. C. K. Pollitt and son Kimble,
of Mentor, Ky., visited Monday with
her mother, Mrs. Alice Waters.

Mr. and Mrs. Gordan D. Lovett and
son Andrew, were visitors at Colum-
bus the first of the week.

Ray Boone, Charles Russell, Charles
Buckman and Elvis Bauer of Ripley
were Sunday visitors here.

Harold, Laurence and Harley Pence
of Cincinnati spent the week-end with
their parents.

Mrs. Ella Prry left Sunday for a
three weeks visit with her daughter.

Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Baldwin and
daughter, Ruth and Mrs. L. M. Tribble
motored to Cincinnati Sunday and
visited with Mr. and Mrs. Shelton
Thompson.
