On receiving the glorious News of the Surrender of the Havannah, together with fifteen Spanish Men Of War to his Majesty's Fleet and Army, the Guns at Castle William gave a Royal Salute, as also the Batteries of this Town and Charlestown, on board Ships, &c. and the greatest Joy was expressed by all Ranks of People.
We hear that a Day of General Rejoicing will be appointed by the Governor, on Account of the above great and important Acquisition.
The Field Pieces belonging to the New Train of Artillery in this Town were also discharged, in Token of Joy.
