NORTH DAKOTA SUFFRAGISTS WILL GATHER HERE FOR BIG DEMONSTRATION.
BIG PARADE IS PLANNED.
On Thursday of this week, October 22, the suffragists of North Dakota will hold their state rally day in this city, as the last united effort before the men of the state go to the polls to decide this great question. Women who are prominent in the suffrage work all over the state will be here, and several speeches will be made during the day.
A suffrage parade will be one of the big things of the day, and the committees in charge have perfected all plans for this feature. The school children of Bismarck will march in line, followed by many beautiful floats. There will be one float to represent each state which now enjoys full suffrage, and these individual floats are being worked out with the greatest detail. There will also be one big float representing the states that are now agitating the question. There will also be fifty or more autos in the parade, each one with its load of women and girls, and the music will be well provided for.
Mrs. C. J. Lutz of St. Paul, prominent in suffrage work throughout the northwest, and a writer and lecturer of exceptional ability, will be here on that day to make several addresses. She will speak once before the teachers of the state who are here for the annual N. D. E. A. meeting, and once to those in attendance at the Exposition. Her talk to the teachers will be given at the high school.
Local suffragists, together with those of other cities in North Dakota, plan to make this the greatest demonstration yet made by the women of the state in their effort to secure equal suffrage.
