Sporting Editor EVENING JOURNAL
Dear Sir--Seeing in your paper on Saturday night that the Clover team won the fourteen years old baseball championship last year, I wish to say they did not. Wilmington Juniors won the fourteen years old championship.
We know Clover is bigger than Wilmington Juniors and they are in a larger age class than fourteen years, so they must not say they are a fourteen years old team. Wilmington Juniors won 34 out of 38 games played last year and if any person wants the record he can have it. We still hold it. Our team is a fourteen years old team. In the Junior League last year we won 11 of 12 games played and defeated North East, of Philadelphia champions of the Junior League and many other fast teams. We are in the field again with Eddie Abrahams as manager, and William Jeffers captain.
If you will go over our record for last year you will see how we won the name of champions and that's what we are.
Yours in sport,
Wilmington Juniors Baseball Club.

Main Argument
the wilmington juniors won the fourteen years old baseball championship last year, not the clover team, as they played 34 out of 38 games won, defeated philadelphia champions, and hold the record.
