Fifteen Onslowians
Honorably Discharged
By Armed Services

Fifteen Onslowians have been given honorable discharges from the Armed Forces. They include:

Pfc. Troy Wilson, Route 1, Wallace and son of Richlands, route one.

He served in the ETO from October 1943 to October 1945 in Northern France, Ardennes and central Europe.

Sgt. Amos Lee Autry of the American Theater, Good Conduct.

MM 2/c Carl Walgreen Walton of Onslow County, discharged October.

S2 Archie Henry Smith of Onslow County, discharged September 11.

GM-c Willie Nelson Jones of Onslow County, discharged October 2

Sgt. Virgil P. Chavis of Richlands who entered service November 1941 was a utility NCO in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes and central Europe who wears the Good Conduct and EAMET with 5 BS stars and he was discharged September 21

Cpl Theo Newton of Verona who entered the army August 1942 served as a veteran in New Guinea, Southern Philippines and Luzon who wears the Good Conduct with 5 stars he also has the Purple Heart and was discharged October 2

Pfc. Wayne M. Brinson of Beulaville, route two, who entered the army February 19, 1942 was discharged after Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Central Europe who wears the Good Conduct
