Convictions of Murder,—William Teller, alias John Scott and Cesar Reynolds, it will be recollected, entered into a combination on the night of the 30th April, to effect their escape from the State Prison at Hartford, in the course of which Ezra Hopkins, one of the guards on duty, was killed. Having been tried and convicted of the murder Judge Dagget passed sentence of death upon each of the prisoners. They are to be executed on the last Friday in June. Teller had been convicted about three years since on five complaints, for passing counterfeit money, and had been sentenced to an imprisonment of fifteen years, in the State prison. Reynolds was under sentence of imprisonment for life for the crime of burglary.—N. Y. Courier & Enq.
