Leaves Anchorage for Juneau by Plane This A.M.
To meet Col. Elmer W. Clark, Executive Assistant to the Deputy Public Works Administrator, upon his arrival here aboard the Yukon tomorrow. Murray Hall, Aeronautic Inspector for the U. S. Department of Commerce in Alaska, left Anchorage at 11 o'clock this morning bound for Juneau by way of Whitehorse, Y. T., in his land plane.
Mr. Hall will furnish air transportation for Col. Clark to Nome where he has been designated by Harold L. Ickes, Secretary of the Interior, to determine ways and means in which the PWA may assist in rehabilitation of the burned city.
While he is in Juneau Col. Clark will confer with
Gov. John W. Troy concerning
the Nome
conditions and restoration work that
is now underway.
COMING BY PLANE
Manager A. B. Hayes received word this afternoon that Col. E. W. Clark is aboard the plane Baranof, piloted by Gene Meyring, and is due here this afternoon. Col. Clark was taken aboard at Ketchikan from the steamer Yukon.
