As I and others are anxious for information, I have thought it expedient to ask for answers to the interrogatories I propounded last week, before asking others especially interesting to the public. I ask any one would be glad to know if the Leon and Sabine charter was sold by Col. Ward and his Confederates to the New York Company for two hundred thousand dollars paid stock in the New York Company! If so, to whom did the consideration go? How many Stockholders were in that same plan at the time of the sale? Should the hands received the consideration! If not, and it was to go to those who should after ward take stock, who was to decide, and how upon the distribution of that stock? Did Messrs. Ward, Hall, & Co., inform the bearers amounting that the charter had been sold on the consideration of Two Hundred Thousand Dollars! And conceal that fact from Parson Ware, Mr. Curtis, Mr. Samuels and the few others who were the only stockholders in the company and traded those who had generally subscribed their stock for having a survey (and who were to be remunerated in stock) to sale the charter to the company? And they secretly call a meeting of a quorum of the commissioners, giving no notice thereof to the public, and even concealing the fact that there was to be a meeting of the commissioners from some of the members at the time in Marshall was held?
