On last Wednesday morning at 10:30 A.M. the 3rd and 4th Class of Montieth School culminated their six weeks study about Mexico in the form of a "Summary Program". The program brought out a well rounded study of the country, people and their customs. The reports, chorals, dances and films aided the children to not only learn about the Spanish and Indians of Mexico, but to appreciate their art and religious customs. Carrie Jane Hicks served as the Mistress of ceremonies. Shirley Bryant is president of the class. A unique feature of the program was the part where the sharing of the Spanish Words which were learned by the class. The program was under the direction of Mrs. O. B. Dingle and Mrs. Dorothy Winn, Student Teacher of Savannah State College. There were a large number of parents and friends aside from Mrs. D. Owens, Home Demonstration Agent; and Mr. E. Harmond, Farm Agent of Chatham County.
The teachers, pupils and parents have been busy evaluating other work done at the school during the past eight weeks also.
THE 4-H CLUB
The members of the club have done many interesting things. During 4-H Club week. The following children presented the 4-H Club Creed and Hymn on Program at Mt. Zion Church; Gloria Lexley; Shirley Bryant; James Williams; Joshua Williams; Carrie Belle Lexley; Carrie Jane Hicks; Deloris Johnson and John Henry
