British Deserters.—The nine seamen who deserted from the Acasta frigate, off the Hook, on Thursday morning last, arrived at this city on Saturday afternoon, via Elizabethtown.

Two of them allege they are impressed Americans, one a native of this state and the other of Boston. They informed us, that the crew of the Acasta were almost in a state of mutiny—that the first lieut. and master were under arrest, and that the frigate had not more than six days supply of water—her crew consisted of about 300 men. These seamen further stated that the Valiant 74, had about 700 men and mounted 92 guns—that they could see our frigates every day, and intended to attempt to destroy them in the course of a few evenings, with the rocket arrows.
