MARBLE TOURNEY WILL BE ON MAY 5

The marble tournament, under the direction of the WPA recreation project and being sponsored here by the Coca-Cola Bottling Co., will be held on May 5 rather than May 12, as was previously announced.

In each of the schools which are eligible, a teacher has been chosen to have charge at that school; in the Junior high, Norman Vick is in charge; in Central school, Mrs. Alvis Turner; Miss Sue Kelly at West End; Mrs. John Rose, at Clarke street; Mrs. Gilbert O'Neil at South Henderson; and Mrs. Mary Crawford at North Henderson school.

Eliminations will be held on May 12, after which the winner from the city, and that one from the county, will go to Greensboro on May 19 and 20 for the state contest.
