ELEGANT EXTRACT.
From the Aurora.
Mr. BACHE,
"THE Grub-street Gazette of last Tuesday evening contains one of the most extraordinary productions that I have seen in a long time. This infamous piece is headed with the title of "Review," and abounds with the basest calumny and most unqualified, abuse against the cause of freedom and its supporters. It is indeed remarkable, that this country should contain a wretch capable of writing such detestable slander, or an Editor who would give publicity to it. Yet it seems the Witch of Endor can find room for whatever comes from the pen of an Englishman. or it is easy to conjecture that this sublime "Review" is the offspring of some emigrant from the queen of isles, who perhaps receives his pay in the mother country. His pitiful whining at the success of the intrepid sons of France, proclaims his country, while his belching clearly proves him one of John Bull's calves. Whether he is the same pedantic pedagogue that teaches Frenchmen the use of English gerunds, I cannot positively say, but he certainly smells a little of the Bone."
