LOS ANGELES, June 7.--Marked by an extremely short ballot, the count of which is expected to be completed at an early hour, voters of Los Angeles are engaging in a general election today.
From 100,000 to 125,000 votes are expected to be cast for five councilmen, one municipal judge and three members of the board of education. Six propositions are on the ballot also, two of which are municipal issues which have supplied the fuel for bitter controversy.
The polls opened at 6 a. m. and will close at 7 p. m.
