Fitzgerald's Fourth Annual Auto Show, will get its initiation tonight, when the torch light parade of autos form at the Lee-Grant Hotel at 8:30. The famous Waycross band will head the parade and give a concert before the start and at the finish. The show proper, to which admission is entirely free to the public opens at 10 A. M. Thursday at the Dickey Tobacco Warehouse, which was transformed by the decorators into a bower of beauty. In speaking of the Auto show, one of the leading spirits in the undertaking said "This year's show will by far exceed anything the Auto dealers have ever undertaken in Fitzgerald. We have spared no expense to make it a success from every standpoint, and more cars will be shown here than any previous year. Besides Automobiles, tractors and accessories are on display and utility cars in the forefront."
"Fitzgerald says this authority," is fast becoming the automobile center for a territory of more than sixty miles extent and the more the popular and best makes of cars have made this city, the distributing point for entire section.
Entertainment
Races will be held each afternoon on the Ocilla road and traffic on this road will be suspended during the races. Cars enroute should park in nearby fields or run into a ditch, to avoid accidents. The finish will be made at the convict camp, here all visiting cars will park in nearby fields. Aeroplanes will fly from Ocilla in competition with the racing autos.
Dances
Each evening unless otherwise announced, dances will be given at the exposition hall, except Friday, when a masked street dance will be held in front of the Old Post Office.
Decorating Artists
With A Taste
J. W. Vandergriff, of Atlanta, and Homer Waters will be voted the medal for decorators, by the visitors to the Automobile Show. These artists have turned the warehouse into the most beautifully decorated exhibition hall ever used by any automobile show in the state, and we have seen them all for the past seven years.
