Strike In London

No changes have been announced in the Ohio Bell Telephone employees strike according to information available this morning.

All workmen of the London plant are still out, with pickets at the Central office on Union Street. No violence has been observed in the area, and union representatives said they would participate in no violence.

Robert P. Redman, commercial manager for Ohio Bell in London, said the company is making special efforts to handle service calls as rapidly as possible. He added that talks over the weekend failed to produce an agreement between the company and the union spokesmen.

The force being used to do the service work in London (the installation of new phones and move requests) includes supervisory personnel and workmen from Columbus who have not joined the walk-out, according to Manager Redman. No local workers have returned to their jobs, according to union spokesmen.
