Full Text

Pittsburgh Theatre.--The Theatre in this city, says the Pittsburgh Spectator,) which has been an annoyance to the citizens resident in its vicinity, and a source of corruption to our youth, we are happy to say, is now demolished. Mr. Henry Holdship has purchased the lot on which it stood, and, by erecting suitable buildings, will convert it to a useful purpose.

This must be a subject of gratulation to the friends of good morals; and it is sincerely hoped that none of our citizens will be found so lost to a sense of moral obligation and regard to the good of society, as to encourage for the future, the contaminating amusements of the drama.
