Full Text

LOS ANGELES—UP—G. A. Karl has developed a technique that would smack of ju-jitsu if the latter were not Japanese. While Karl was driving his truck to the bank to make a deposit, a hold-up man suddenly appeared on the running board, stuck a revolver in his back and ordered Karl to stop. The latter jammed his brakes so hard and violently that the bandit was catapulted over Karl's head, striking his own against the windshield, where his revolver was discharged. Rubbing his neck and cursing, the would-be robber leaped into the car of his confederate and disappeared.
