Good Signs Multiply
The good signs multiply. Senator Christiancy has written Ben Hill a letter congratulating and commending the Georgian very warmly for some recent remarks which had the true flavor of statesmanship about them, and saying that, to secure complete reconciliation, the restoration of confidence and fraternal feeling, men can afford to forget party names. Mr. Christiancy recalls the fact that he long ago declared that upon any measure bearing upon the restoration of harmony and kindly relations between the north and south, he should disregard party ties and interests, and he evidently means to keep his word.
So says the Springfield Republican.
