AUGSBURG, Dec. 30.

Reports of the probability of the speedy commencement of hostilities between France and Russia, are circulated here. Upon tracing them to their source, we find that they are derived from the English papers and French. The object of these false reports is to excite the Turks, for the purpose of retarding the conclusion of their peace with Russia, and to keep up the public opinion at London, by the effect expected from the reverberation of this German news. This practice of importing from the continent the intelligence which it is the interest of the English to circulate, is a trick they have long employed, and frequently with success.
