Col. Daugherty Is
Guest of Honor at
Legion Meeting

Local and visiting legionnaires at the last regular meeting of Frank Perkins post, American Legion, held Thursday night, were given a particularly interesting and instructive program, the chief feature of which was an address by the honor guest, Col. A. J. Daugherty, commander of the 25th regiment, U. S. Army, stationed at Nogales.

Col. Daugherty told the legionnaires what their organization was doing for the orphans of World War veterans. He also spoke of the necessity for military training in schools and colleges, and pointed out that among other things, the legion is using its influence to secure a physical training course in all Arizona schools.

Post commander Evans, of Holbrook, was also a guest of the local legion, and made a short address.
