Minot, N. D., Aug. 3—In the Democratic state convention here Siver Serumgard, a candidate for the gubernatorial nomination, charged German Brinjolfsen with spiriting away George Wilkinson, who was prepared to deny the charge publicly made that the national committee sold the Democratic presidential nomination to Parker in 1904. Senator Crafts and Brinjolfsen had a fist fight on the floor of the convention because of the charge.
The convention nominated John Burke for governor, indorsed Bryan for president in 1908, declared for the direct primary, a state railroad commission and referendum legislation.
