CHURCH COUNCIL FAVORS LEAGUE ASKS WASHINGTON TO ENTER LEAGUE OR PROPOSE MORE EFFICIENT PLAN.

Columbus, Ohio. Dec. 15.--The Federal Council of Churches is an ardent champion of the Harding plan for the United States' entrance into the world court and also favors membership of the Washington government in the league of nations. Through its executive committee, which closed its annual meeting here last night, the council expressed the desire that the United States either enter the league or propose some more effective substitute. Other resolutions adopted appealed for assistance by church members in the enforcement of prohibition and urged contributions to the relief funds for the Near East, Central Europe and Russia.
