Arrival of the French Frigate.--The French frigate L'Astree, Commandant Garnier, (belonging to the West India station) from Vera Cruz, via Havana, 20 days from the latter, anchored in Hampton Roads on Friday night. The Astree was bound for Martinique, and encountered the late severe weather, but sustained no damage as we learn. She will come up as soon as the wind serves, for a supply of provisions and water, and then proceed to her port of destination. A few days previous to her arrival in Hampton Roads, she saw a vessel dismasted which she run down for, spoke, and hailed to know if she wanted any assistance, but received no answer. They ascertained her to be the brig Mayflower, with stock on deck. The frigate left no U. S. vessels of war at Havana.
