The Result in this County.
In another column will be found the official result of the election held in this county on the 11th inst. From these returns it will be seen that the entire whig ticket is elected except their candidate for Prosecuting Attorney.
Although we are defeated in this county we have the proud satisfaction of knowing that the whig majority in it has been very much reduced, at least one half. Had our friends in some of the townships done a little better we could have elected our whole ticket. But it is no use to grieve after "spilt milk." Let our friends go to work, with the determination that hereafter they will do better, and Harrison County will yet be redeemed. We have a deceitful wily foe to contend with, but with energy on our part, we can conquer them. Democrats of Harrison county shall it be done? You have the say in your own hands.
