SIXTH OHIO UP TO-DAY
Regiment Will Arrive in the Morning and Go to Augusta.
The Sixth Ohio Regiment will come up to the city this morning and will go to Augusta over the Florida Central and Peninsular and the Central. The regiment has completed its five days' stay in camp of detention on Daufuskie.
The river steamers Pope Catlin and Santee will bring up the regiment, the Pope Catlin the first detachment, which will arrive at about 9 o'clock; the second will arrive on the Santee about 11 o'clock.
Four trains will convey the command to Augusta, where it will be mustered out of the service. The first two will leave by the Central. Col. McMaken will be in command of the first detachment, consisting of 277 men and 16 officers of headquarters, the band, the non-commissioned staff and Companies A, L and C. The second section will be under command of Maj. Barker and will consist of ten officers and 260 men of Companies H, B and D.
The first section over the Florida Central and Peninsular will be commanded by Maj. Gillett. Companies K, G and E will be in the detachment, which will consist of ten officers and 260 men. Lieut. Col. Bulger will be in charge of the second section, comprising the remaining companies. There will be ten officers and 266 men, besides twelve civilians.
The departure of the Sixth Ohio from Daufuskie will leave the island without any troops. It is not the intention to send any more regiments from Cuba to Savannah for muster out, and the island will therefore scarcely be used again for detention purposes, unless the department decides to return the Sedgwick to Savannah with discharged soldiers.
