Plans Announced For Broadcast Of Paiewonsky Dinner
Plans were announced to be moving rapidly ahead for a Virgin Islands network broadcast to cover the giant Jefferson-Jackson Dinner planned to honor Governor Ralph Paiewonsky on the evening of October 5 at the Buccaneer.
A spokesman responsible for planning activities for the big event said that plans were moving ahead rapidly to have the two Virgin Islands Radio Stations WSTA in St. Thomas and WVVI in St. Croix join together to give full coverage of both the event and Governor Paiewonsky's major address, which will be delivered to the people of the territory at the Dinner.
WSTA will set up remote facilities at the St. Thomas Airport to broadcast the departure of the planes dubbed "DEMOCRATIC SPECIALS," which will carry those from St. Thomas who will attend the Dinner.
WVVI will set up its facilities at the Buccaneer Hotel to broadcast the gala event, and in particular, Governor Ralph Paiewonsky's address which has been billed as one of major importance covering the Governor's plans for the future.
Tickets for the affair, which includes dinner and dancing are on sale at $5.00 and are reported to be moving rapidly.
