Noble Examples.

The Legislatures of Ohio and Wisconsin are considering the subject of the famine in Kansas with a view to appointing a committee to investigate the matter and report a bill for the relief of their starving brothers. We cannot too highly commend these generous examples to the Legislatures of all the States. We say that investigation should precede any other action, but the investigation should be commenced promptly and pursued vigorously, and then the relief should be commensurate with the wants of the sufferers and the ability of the givers. And the man who would allow politics to interfere with so high and righteous a duty ought to be himself shriveled with the hunger which is consuming his fellows on our Western frontiers.--Chicago Tribune.
