Four Incendiary Fires--A New Terrorizing Movement by the Nihilists.
ST. PETERSBURG, July 27.--Four incendiary fires occurred in Moscow on Saturday night. They were all started in such places that the wind would invariably carry the flames over a large area. The buildings selected for destruction were mostly warehouses filled with dry goods and furs. The officials are convinced that this wholesale arson is a new terrorizing movement by the nihilists, and that they have invented some new combustible which will spread fire quickly. The police say the nihilists have adopted this new plan because it is attended with less danger to culprits than their old plan of murder, and is equally effective in spreading terror among the people. The householders of Moscow are in nightly terror. Many families appoint one member to watch all night.
