Continue Action on Appeal Before Vice Chancellor Stevens in Newark Yesterday.
The famous Cook will case which involves considerable property in this city, was heard on appeal yesterday before Vice Chancellor Stevens in Newark. The appeal was started before Vice Chancellor Emory, but was uncompleted at the time of his death.
The entire case was retried before Mr. Stevens yesterday. Joseph E. Stricker and Walter J. Reilley appeared for the executors of the will, William U. Masker and William Vigus, and a lawyer named Cormeer for Walter Raymond together with Federal Judge Henry C. Hunt, appeared as attorneys for Mrs. Adelaide Chambers, the daughter of Mrs. Cook, who made the will, cutting off her daughter with a monthly allowance of thirty dollars, on condition that she stay out of the state. The remainder of the estate was left to Masker and Vigus. Both sides finished their arguments yesterday.
