Mr. Robert Metcalf has accepted a position in Cape Charles.

Mr. George Thomas Mears is slowly improving from his recent illness.

We are sorry to report that Mr. R. H. Winder is not so well at this writing.

Mr. Carruthers spent the week-end in the home of Mr. and Mrs. S. D. Ames.

Mrs. E. L. Mapp and son, Eddie, spent part of this week with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Downing, of Melfa.

Mrs. Ida Underhill and daughter spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Pete Bradford, of Exmore.

Mrs. Roland Phillips, of Wachapreague spent Wednesday with Mrs. D. L. Mears and shopped in Onancock.

Mr. George T. Hyslop, of the U. S. N. R., spent a forty-eight hour leave at his home here last Wednesday and Thursday.

Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Underhill and son, Jimmy, of Bridgetown, were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Underhill, Sunday.

Mr. Ellix Wilkins, of March Field, Cal., is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bell on his first furlough since entering the service last summer.

Mrs. D. H. Wessells and Mrs. Pearl Hickman accompanied by Mrs. Lily Wessells, of Parksley and Mrs. Lula Riggs, of Gargatha, shopped in Pocomoke, Wednesday.
