Event Details
Many melancholy accounts of murders and depredations committed by the Indians on and within the frontiers of Kentucky. Accounts from the territory South of the Ohio no less disagreeable with respect to the general conduct of the savages. On the 23d of May two Chickasaws and a Cherokee (unarmed) were fired upon by some persons unknown, in the woods, not 600 paces from governor Blount's house.
