CARSON CITY, Nev., (AP) -- The little town of Jackpot is finally getting its chance to play with dice, cards and roulette.
Nevada's gaming commission relented yesterday and granted unlimited licenses to Cactus Pete's and the Horseshoe Club of Jackpot, a Nevada-Idaho border town that has been permitted to run only slot machines in the past.
The licenses were issued on a probationary basis after the commission got repeated assurances that there would be adequate law enforcement.
