Case of Typhoid First In Year To Be Reported Here
A case of typhoid fever was discovered today by Dr. Z. P. Mitchell, county health officer, the first to develop in Vance county during the year he has served as health officer, he stated. The patient is Willie Jackson, 16, Negro youth, who lives on Water street, near the Standpipe. The boy has never taken the anti-typhoid treatment Dr. Mitchell quoted his patient as saying. The health officer said the boy had a fever of around 105 and had a genuine case of the disease.
