Full Text

By the last letters from France we are informed, that the unfortunate Clutterbuck who has suffered twenty deaths by his long imprisonment, and the uncertainty of his fate, is likely soon to regain his liberty, as a flaw in the indictment laid against him has been found and admitted. The fact was he was charged in the indictment for defrauding the Bank Royal of England, of "such a sum of money," which not being the strict denomination of their bank, the French, who are as strict in some of their criminal prosecutions as we are, stopped the proceedings.--He however, remains in prison for some time longer--but the clerk of the Bank, who went over to France to conduct the prosecution is returned.
