Full Text

This session, of our General Court we think, bore more Republican features than the last. The most prominent acts of the session, are,

The incorporation of the New-Hampshire UNION BANK;—this act passed both branches without a vote against it.

An act directing a New Valuation to be taken:—it is expected that when this is done a new arrangement of the Senatorial Districts will be made by the Court, agreeably to the Constitution.

An act for the better inspection of Pork and Beef for exportation. This act may prove highly beneficial to the Farmer and the Merchant. No country can produce better Pork and Beef than America, if properly attended to, and none will command a better market, if rightly prepared for exportation, Beef, Pork, Butter and Cheese are the staple commodities of New-Hampshire: it therefore behoves the Farmers to produce them in the best perfection.
