American Legion Convention Meets In Chicago; 4 Days

CHICAGO. Sept. 19.-The National convention of the American Legion will be held here for four days, November 18 to 21. and what is planned as a routine business-delegate meeting may develop into a full grown, prewar style gathering of both young and old veterans.

Convention Director Joseph Lumpkin says the Legion reserved only 2,463 rooms for those attending Legion business sessions, but with the travel restrictions lifted. thousands of veterans may converge here for the first big blowout since 1941.

It has not been announced whether the annual parade will be held.
