Full Text

Topeka, June 26.-The possibility that ouster proceedings may be filed against Miss Lorraine Wooster, state school superintendent, because of her failure to co-operate in the handling of business of the state board of education was seen here Saturday following the meeting of the state board at which the office of Miss Wooster refused to turn over the records and books of the board. The state's attorney general was instructed to take whatever steps were necessary to procure these records.

After meeting and failing to obtain the records from Miss Wooster's assistants, and failing to locate the whereabouts of Miss Wooster, the board went into executive session to discuss the situation. At the executive session Miss Funa Arrasmith, secretary, was temporarily suspended because she carried out the orders of Miss Wooster and refused to produce the records.

A meeting of the board will be held here June 10 at which Miss Arrasmith will be given an opportunity to show cause why she should not be discharged from her position.
