Full Text
The Election for Representatives to the Fourteenth Congress took place early in the last week. It appears probable from the returns we have seen, that the whole delegation is federal, at least with the exception of not more than one or two. If so, though such a result is greatly to be regretted as shewing the prevalence of delusion among the people of the East, we derive consolation from the old proverb, no less true than trite, that, when things come to their worst, they must mend. In a general political view, the unmixed federalism of Massachusetts is of no importance. It is sufficiently counterbalanced by the result of Elections in other states.
